The software allows the user to define different inventory sites, such as a warehouse, a stock room, and a supply closet, as well as different locations within each site, such as a bin, a shelf, or a particular pallet. Features enable inventory to be tracked by location, serial numbers, and other criteria for inventory management. This software is compatible with computers that run Microsoft Windows 8 Professional, Windows 7 Professional, Windows Vista Premium, Windows XP (SP3) Professional, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2003 (32- or 64-bit), have a 750 MHz or faster processor, have at least 1 GB of system memory and 10 GB of storage, have a 1024x768 display with at least 256 colors, and have a DVD drive for software installation.The Wasp WWS550I handheld barcode scanner connects wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet, or computer and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. CCD (charge-coupled device) light sensors scan barcodes from up to 12" away at a speed of up to 230 scans per second in continuous mode. CCD barcode scanners are typically more accurate than laser scanners and more resistant to wear. A USB wireless adapter allows the barcode reader to wirelessly transmit barcode data to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet from up to 33 ft. away unobstructed or a Microsoft Windows computer from up to 160 ft. away unobstructed.
