A Hunter-case pocket watch or "Full hunter" has a case with a spring-hinged metal lid cover that, closes over the watch-dial and crystal, protecting them from dust and other damage. Traditionally, hunter-case watches have the lid hinges at 9 o'clock position and the stem of the watch at the 3 o'clock position. The rear panel on Hunter style is often hinged to allow it to open and reveal the intricacy of the movement. This style is referred to as "Double Opening".
