VHD-ARCA enables new generation of TVs, with ARC (Audio Return Channel) function, to utilize audio surround receiver for home theater application. This gadget is easy to use to support ARC audio. VHD-ARCA does NOT extract audio signal from anything connected to its HDMI input port; it ONLY extracts audio signal coming in from the HDMI output port (sent by the ARC enabled HDMI port on the TV). This is a pure ARC "Audio Return Channel" item. Many TVs have built-in media player, such as Netflix, this item allows the TV with ARC HDMI port to send audio out to the surround sound receiver for home theater application.
