The Vestil EPT-2547-30-SCL electric pallet truck has a built-in digital scale, includes two 12V batteries, and can be used to lift and transport pallets. The LCD scale can be used to weigh pallets and displays weight within 1-lb. increments. An RS-232 serial port can be used to connect the scale to a printer (sold separately) for printing weights. The handle allows the user to maneuver the pallet truck. Push buttons near the top of the handle can be used to raise and lower the forks. The throttle can be used to move the pallet truck forward or backward at different speeds. The two 12V batteries can power the pallet truck for up to 8 hours on a full charge. (Volts are a measure of electromotive force.) A belly reverse button, or belly switch, automatically moves the pallet truck away from the operator when actuated in an emergency. The pallet truck has a horn that can be sounded for safety. The poly-on-steel wheels won't puncture or go flat and are resistant to impact and wear. The forks' tapered ends facilitate loading. This pallet truck has a load capacity of 3,000 lb. and measures 49 x 28-1/2 x 66 inches (H x W x L). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a service range of 3.4 to 7.8 inches high. The forks measure 25 x 48 inches overall (W x L). This product is intended for use in professional and industrial environments. Pallet trucks, also known as pallet jacks, skid jacks, and pump trucks, are used to lift and transport pallets or skids of goods. Pallet trucks can include a swivel pump handle, a squeeze trigger, two forks, and wheels for maneuverability, and typically contain a hydraulic cylinder or a battery-powered motor to raise and lower the forks. Some pallet trucks have an adjustable push rod on the bottom of each fork, allowing the user to modify the height. Pallet trucks can be used in warehouses, storerooms, shipping facilities, and a variety of industrial environments.
