About UV 3D Printing Resin (Abyssal Black) For All SLA

Mechanagon resins work for all UV based 3D printers tested. They combine low viscosity and fast cure time for a resin that is easy to work with and delivers a stunning print. Safety Data Sheet and Material Properties Specification are provided on our website. Typical Settings: Set bottom exposure to 30-60 seconds and normal exposure to 6-10 seconds. This varies by printer and resin darkness. Use: Shake before using! Use only in well ventilated areas with no UV light sources. Most indoor lights are fine. Just don't use the stuff next to a window, tanning booth, rave, nuclear reactor core, or anything like that. Clean prints with isopropyl alcohol first, then water. Finish curing the prints in sunlight or other UV light source once dry. Cure times vary by light intensity and print thickness. Clean resin vat with isopropyl alcohol only. Wipe the sides of the vat with a paper towel until most of the alcohol/resin is absorbed. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the FEP Film/bottom surface of the vat for longest working life. Safety: Wear gloves when handling the resin. If skin contact is made, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If in eyes, rinse for several minutes. The resin is fairly benign, but a Safety Data Sheet is provided on our website for further information. Storage and Disposal: Replace the rubber seal and ensure the cap is tight. Keep the bottle away from UV emitting light sources. Store in a place where the temperature can be maintained at 29-90°F (-2-32°C). Any resin that is waste (i.e. has been contaminated or otherwise has been deemed unusable) should be solidified with UV light before disposal. Photoinitiators used in the resin can be harmful to aquatic life, but are rendered inert after reacting with UV light. Never pour uncured resin down the sink!
