About UNIFY Premium+ Surgical Chromic Gut
AD Surgical UNIFY Premium Chromic Gut Absorbable Surgical Suture. Monofilament Brown. Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas and has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date. They are packaged in a solution of 89% Isopropanol, 10% water and 1% Triethanolamine. Material is composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen). Chromic Gut is a type surgical suture that is naturally degraded by the body's own proteolytic enzymes. Uniform treatment with a buffered chromium salt solution. Chromic Gut has high knot-pull tensile strength and good knot security due to special excellent handling features. It is used for all surgical procedures including general closure, ophthalmic, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology and gastrointestinal surgery.
