Lightweight Mesh Upper Used to construct the upper of the Intake 2 is a super lightweight mesh. This material was specifically chosen for its flexibility and breathability. The flex properties allow the upper to snugly wrap the foot, holding it in place and offering much-needed support. The breathability properties mean that the fabric allows cool air to flow into the shoe at the same time as releasing warm air, creating a cool and fresh environment inside of the shoe. An external heel counter wraps the back of the shoe and firmly holds the foot in place, reducing the risk of the foot slipping around inside of the shoe and causing possible pain and injury. The innovative Speedform construction of the Intake 2 allows the upper to mould to the wearer's individual foot shape, offering a precise fit and eliminating discomfort and distraction that could potentially occur. An embedded sockliner sits along the footbed, offering a plush layer of cushioning which will give the wearer a supportive and comfortable feeling directly under the foot. Flat stitching has been used in the shoe construction which reduces the risk of chafe and discomfort which is commonly caused by large and bulky seams/stitching.
