About Tygon 2375 Plastic PVC
This clear plasticizer-free plastic tubing is made of chemical-resistant Tygon formulation 2375 for use transferring chemical substances in laboratory and factory applications. The clear tubing allows unobstructed visual monitoring of flow. The Tygon formulation 2375 plastic construction can withstand acids, bases, salts, alcohols, and ketones, including methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and it contains no plasticizers such as Di(2-ethlhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which could contaminate transferred fluids. A smooth inner bore prevents particulate build-up and limits absorption and adsorption to help preserve fluid integrity. When disposed of by incineration, this tubing does not release harmful and corrosive hydrochloride gas for a less-toxic means of disposal. It can be sterilized with ethylene oxide (ETO), chemicals, or radiation. The tubing has a working temperature range of -103 to 130 degrees F, a durometer (hardness) of 75A, and working pressure ratings that vary by tube size. This plastic tubing is rated as very flexible as it bends more easily than flexible or rigid tubing. It meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 175.1520 and National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) 51 for food contact for quality assurance. The tubing is suitable for use in battery acid filling, paint and solvent production, transferring chemicals and hazardous materials, and beverage dispensing, among other applications. Plastic tubing is used to transfer liquids, air, or solids, and it is characterized by a round, rectangular, or square shape and a hollow center. Plastic tubing is crimp-resistant and varies in bend radius (flexibility), chemical resistance, wall thickness, durometer hardness, and temperature and pressure handling abilities.
