About Two Sides Of Destiny
Lois and Jewel, friends, who grew up in the same local church, were as different as night and day. Lois was raised in the project and attended public school, while Jewel, grew up in a middle class home, in a middle class neighborhood and attended private schools. The two share one common goal to leave their small town of Brickenbrat to follow their dreams. Lois, vowing never to return home, leaves for New York to live with her aunt. Without any training or skills, she soon finds it hard to land a good job and ends up working in a factory. When love and friendship fails her, Lois finds herself alone, abandoned and discouraged and in pursuit of something better; thinking she has landed the opportunity of a lifetime, Lois takes a job with a modeling Agency, but unknowing to her, the modeling agency is a pretense for a lifestyle that even the street smart Lois is not prepared. She soon falls into a world of prostitution and drugs and at her lowest, she faces the threat of not only losing the one thing she loves the most, but also her life. Jewel goes off to college to pursue a degree in law. She is focused and goal oriented, which leaves little room for friends, love and even family. Her sheltered life does not prepare her for the real world and as she faces prejudice, criticism and even love, she is unprepared to handle the issues in her life. She continues to abandon everyone who love and care for her, if they don’t fit into her well laid out plans. Those plans takes her to England and back to the States. Along the way, she finds the love of her life, who refuses to let her push him out, but is his love enough to break through the walls that Jewel has put up around her. As the girls search for the success they dream of, they are unaware that their every move is being monitored and coerced by unforeseen forces of good and evil.
