Experimental steps: 1. Experiment preparation and understanding of experimental equipment: battery box compass, enameled wire, nails, small iron sheet, wire, switch, sandpaper 2. Straighten the enameled wire and sand away the paint from both ends (otherwise it will not conduct electricity). 3. Wrap the polished enameled wire around the nail to leave two ends of the wire -- the coil 4. Connect one end of the battery box to a enameled wire head of the coil, and the other end to the switch, and then connect the switch to another wire head of the coil. The circuit connection is completed, and finally install the battery 5. Hold the end of the nail with one hand and hold the switch with the other hand to switch on the power supply. Move the nail to the place where the small iron sheet is placed and see if it can suck up the small iron sheet. 6. As in experiment 5, move the nail near the compass or shake the nail to see what happens to the compass. Note: the battery is not included.
