Pope John XXIII canonized Saint Peter Julian Eymard as the Apostle of the Eucharist, but his attraction to the Eucharist evolved over a long period of time. The title of this book refers to the words he spoke to his sisters when he left the diocesan clergy to enter a missionary community. They pleaded with him to remain one more day. His reply was God calls me now. Tomorrow will be too late. Peter Julian's entire life was a journey in faith spent discerning and responding to God's will. Eventually, after 17 years as a Marist, he established a new religious community dedicated to the Eucharist, the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament which continues to flourish 140 plus years after his death. His journey is both fascinating and inspiring and one with which the reader can easily identify.
