The Thomas Analog Variable Speed Vortex Mixer has variable speed of 300 to 3,200rpm (300 to 2,500rpm for 230V model) for gentle shaking to rapid vortexing of samples, and can be operated by touch or in continuous mode. This mixer comes with a cup head for mixing a single test tube, and a 3" diameter head with rubber cover for mixing a beaker, a flask, or multiple tubes. Additional interchangeable accessories (sold separately) are available for holding ampules, microplates, and other vessels. The mixer has a heavy-duty base that provides stability and minimizes vibration. A built-in temperature sensor shuts the motor down to prevent overheating. Vortex shakers are commonly used in laboratories to mix liquids.
