The lid is the authentic Italian Bormioli Fido Jar Lid, with a hole precisely bored thru the glass in a single pass by a computer-guided system, then hand-polished to remove the sharp edges. An exclusive made-in-the-USA FDA Food Grade Silicone Grommet is installed in the opening. The durable grommet is easy to remove, clean, and replace, and is guaranteed for life against tearing. The Brine Bowl is made in Italy of lead-free tempered glass, and fits snugly into the opening of the Fido Jars to assist in holding vegetables under the liquid, reducing the surface area of the liquid, and catching excess liquid. The three-piece Airlock is made of Food Grade Polystyrene in Canada, and the mini two-piece Airlock is made in Columbia, also of Food-Grade Polystyrene.
