The Mindset Cure is the story of Andrea’s journey from healthy and vital, engaged, always on wife, mother, volunteer and successful corporate executive to suddenly becoming a patient for most of 21 weeks during 2011 at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. It tells of the always-on, driven lifestyle that drained her physically, mentally and spiritually and set her up for her bout with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and her terrifying and difficult journey, which included five rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant and the long road to recovery and remission. The story also tells of how she became an active participant in her return to health and some of the non-traditional methods that she used to supplement the Western medicine techniques so skillfully employed by the doctors and staff at the Mayo Clinic.
