A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he has won numerous industry awards over an illustrious 50-year career, including Clinician of the Year by the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association, the Hayden-Stack Award by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (their highest honor for a single recipient), and the esteemed Leon Pinsker Award by the International Association of Orthodontics (their highest individual award).
