All rights reserved. HOW TO USE THIS BOOK. "The Decorative Painter's Color Shaper Book" is a guide to creating colorful patterns on a variety of surfaces through Color Shaping techniques. This book is designed to introduce you to a new and exciting approach to decorative painting. You will be become acquainted with the Color Shaper through basic exercises and projects with easy to follow step-by-step instructions as well as pattern variations for each project. In addition, there are twenty-two patterns with applicable to projects of your choice. A variety of surfaces are introduced through the course of twelve projects. You will create beautiful patterns on wood, metal, ceramics, canvas, and paper. These surfaces are ideal for Color Shaping and make it possible to achieve polished results. The projects outlined in each section (brass planters, metal lamps, ceramic containers, tiles, lampshades, and so on) are readily available, and unfinished woodenware can be found in arts and crafts stores. Color Sharper sizes can be substituted if you do not have the specific size that is recommended in the materials list. Although the size of stroke or motif will be different, you will still be able to create the pattern.
