About The Clinical Assessment Of Children And

Product Description This book highlights assessment techniques, issues, and procedures that appeal to practicing clinicians. Rather than a comprehensive handbook of various tests and measures, The Clinical Assessment of Children and Adolescents is a practitioner-friendly text that provides guidance for test selection, interpretation, and application. With topics ranging from personality assessment to behavioral assessment to the assessment of depression and thought disorder, the leaders in the field of child and adolescent measurement outline selection and interpretation of measures in a manner that is most relevant to clinicians and graduate students. Each chapter makes use of extensive case material in order to highlight issues of applicability. Review "Readers of this text will gain clinically practical and empirically informed knowledge on the assessment of children and adolescents as individuals and as individuals living within the family and other contexts. Rich case examples pointedly illustrate the integration of specific test information into the assessment process as a whole. I recommend this Handbook for graduate students and clinicians working day-to-day with children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties." - Daniel J. Holdwick, Jr., Clinical Psychologist "This book provides extensive coverage of methods, settings, and issues in the psychological assessment of children and adolescents. Readers will appreciate the breadth and depth of its chapters, which offer both detailed guidelines for clinical practice and comprehensive consideration of relevant literature." - Irving. B. Weiner, University of South Florida About the Author Steven R.
