Vintage out-takes taken direct from acetate are presented on this long-awaited third volume of Modern recordings from the great Texas guitar player Pee Wee Crayton. West Coast blues guitar at its finest. Our previous two volumes, The Modern Legacy (ACE 632) and Blues Guitar Magic (ACE 767) were very well received. All 30 tracks are unissued versions, distinctly different from the issued takes. Some fascinating studio chat is included and all sides are taken from fresh 2014 dubs of the original acetates. Compiled and annotated by the great blues archivist and producer, Chicago's Dick Shurman.
