WaterWorks Chromium for water quality testing provides a simple alternative to traditional wet (chemical) tests for chromium concentrations in water. Chromium Detection: 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 50 mg/L (ppm). With about an easy a test procedure as possible (dip-n-read test strip technology), WaterWorks Chromium gives users the power to obtain accurate test results for Hexavalent Chromium (chromium-6) levels in water right in the field. Why Test for Chromium? Like other heavy metals, scientists and health officials have found definite links between prolonged exposure to elevated levels of chromium and serious health problems (i.e. developmental problems in both children & adults, organ failure, etc.). This strip only tests for CrO4^2, to test for Cr^+3 you must use 10% Sodium Hydroxide, 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, and 10% Nitric Acid (all three are sold separately).
