Albert Whitman & Company Publishing award-winning children's books since 1919  Jacket art copyright @2018 by Danni Gowdy From the Back Cover Great spotties!  Your giraffe is fast. Super fast. WAY TOO FAST! About the Author Viviane Elbee always keeps her eyes open for giraffes on the ski slopes because she's sure she'll spot one someday. When not looking for giraffes, Viviane has all kinds of adventures with her family, both at home in the Carolinas and abroad. This is her first picture book.   Danni Gowdy is an illustrator and graphic designer who lives beside the Irish Sea in the very green but very rainy city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. She briefly lived in Cambridge, England, during her studies where she completed a MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. She uses an old-fashioned feather quill dip pen and ink to create her illustrations and often ends up with ink all over her clothes, hair and face. It was during her MA that she became somewhat obsessed with drawing clumsy giraffes.
