True chefs know that it is more accurate to weigh ingredients versus measuring when precision is the most important thing. For best results, time after time, a kitchen scale is required (measuring can vary from cup to cup). this scale is accurate to the 1%, assuring your recipes - and especially baked goods -- will come out great every time. Weigh and mix in the same bowl - the 8 cup heavy duty, brushed stainless steel weighing bowl also doubles as a mixing bowl. The add and weigh feature allows more than one ingredient to be added to the bowl with each ingredient being weighed separately. Simply add the first ingredient, press "Tare" and add the next ingredient. Most scales only weigh dry ingredients, but this scale also "measures" liquid ingredients with better accuracy, again eliminating the need to dirty another measuring cup. The stainless steel weighing/mixing bowl is contoured for easy, mess free pouring of dry and liquid ingredients and is also top rack dishwasher safe. The scale can be used without the bowl; food can be placed on the platform or any other plate, bowl or container. Accurate up to 11 lbs in 0.1 oz increments, and 175 fl oz in 0.1 fl oz increments; and metric up to 5000 G in 1 G increments, and 5000 ml in 1 ml increments. Also featured is an automatic shut off to conserve battery life, and a manual shut off by pressing and holding the "Tare" button. The base of the scale features a brushed surface that reduces the appearance of fingerprints. The bowl flips over the scale for storage, if desired. Batteries are included - 2 AAA.
