The Horch 1a was developed in accordance with the pre-WWII "Einheits Program" which aimed at streamlining vehicle production. The soft-top vehicle could carry 8 crew members, and had a V8 engine providing 80hp. Around 2,900 were produced between 1937 and 1940; the Type 1a was used heavily in the early stages of WWII. Kit has fine exterior surface features, drivers interior, 2 front bucket seats, back seat and bench seat, folded canvas top, guns with racks, separate (rear stowage doors, on-vehicle equipment and filigree parts), 1-piece hood and front grill, optional windshield (upright or folded), wipers molded on window frame, clear parts for windshield and Notek lights, detailed (suspension, exhaust and chassis), injection molded wheels with spare. Also includes figures (driver and 5 crew). Decals and color markings for (2) vehicles: 1st Panzer Division, Russia 1942-1942 and Hermann Goring Division, Southern France late 1942 - includes dash panel gauges and plates.
