About Studio Finishes Molten Metallics - Quart
Studio Finishes® Molten MetallicsTM is an alkyd high gloss hammered metal effect product. It is designed to produce a beautiful deep gloss metallic special affects. It allows the applicator to create a dramatic metalized look to new and previously painted furniture, decorative pieces, trim, accent walls and ceilings. For interior / exterior use on new and previously painted surfaces, including furniture, decorative pieces, trim and accent ceilings and walls. Use wherever a metallic hammered finish is desired. SURFACE PREP: Surfaces to be finished must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease, scaling paint and mildew. Hard, glossy areas should be dulled with fine grit sandpaper to ensure proper adhesion. Studio Finishes Molten Metallics can be applied to most properly prepared surfaces. APPLICATION: Mix the product thoroughly before and during application. On vertical application two thin coats is required. Exceeding the recommended spread rate will cause the product to sag on vertical surfaces. Always maintain a wet edge but avoid over brushing or rolling. Apply one or two coats as needed. If a second coat is required an overnight dry is recommended. Do not overwork the product or you will reduce the effect. APPLIATION METHODS: Can be brushed using a natural or synthetic bristle brush or rolled using a 1/4" - 1/2" synthetic roller cover. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll. Airless Spray: Tip range between .017 and .021 inch. Total fluid output pressure at tip should not be less than 2200 psi. Conventional Spray: Use .07 -.08 inch Tip size, pressure pot 15-20psi and atomizing pressure 25-35 psi
