About Stephenson Step-Clear Melt And Pour Soap Base 2lb
Soap base for soap crafting.Each pound of soap base produces four 4 oz. bars. Comes in resealable plastic tubs. Our Melt and Pour Clear Soap Base sets a new standard for "standard" glycerin soap base. It is crystal clear with no odor and is made from ALL VEGETABLE OIL. Glycerin, a natural emollient, is included to draw moisture from the air to benefit skin. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy looking skin. And, since we don't use animal oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. All our soap bases are produced with high-quality raw materials to form a luxurious lather and sparkling clarity. Usage: A two pound brick can make between 10 - 20 soaps, depending on the size of the soap you’re trying to make. Wide temperature ranges, from 140 F to 180 F • Odorless base for a superior fragrance lift • Neutral pH of approximately 7.8 • Compatible with wide range of fragrances Caution: When making soaps it is good to remember that the Melt & Pour Bases contain water as part of the formula. So if they are left exposed to the atmosphere, the water will evaporate and the bar of soap will shrink. We would recommend fully wrapping the ENTIRE soap bar as soon as it is poured and cooled--this should minimize/eliminate any shrinkage.
