The Starrett 3753A-12/300 electronic depth gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 12" (0 to 300mm), and a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.0005" (0.01mm). The LCD screen displays in U.S./metric and turns off automatically. A friction thimble provides consistent measurements. The gauge is made of hardened steel for durability and accurate measurements. This electronic depth micrometer is suitable for precise measurement in a variety of manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering applications.Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. These gauges often take the form of sliders that travel on a measuring beam or rods, are moved to position by hand, and then adjusted with a calibrated screw.
