This is the famous, popular, classic biography! This is a good book to read to children, so they have someone worthwhile to imitate. By having Maria put before them as a model, they will learn to appreciate the virtue of purity. For a child to imitate the saints, he or she must first love them -- which in turn requires knowing them. Get your children acquainted with one of the greatest saints of the twentieth century! About the Author The Rev. Father Godfrey Poage, C.P., was a priest and author of the twentieth century. He began writing in June of 1937 after graduating from the Passionist Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and volunteered at a local newspaper. Upon further study at St. Paul's College in Detroit, he composed two popular vocational booklets for children: Follow Me and Follow Him. Besides his various articles for Catholic publications, he also released St. Maria Goretti: In Garments All Red in 1950 through Paluch Publications, Chicago. The work was retypeset and republished by TAN in 1998.
