Add a little flair to your everyday salads with these nutritious favorites. Mesclun (meaning mixture) is great for sowing indoors or outdoors and is intended to be harvested continually. Space seeds about 8-10" apart or plant closer and thin to 8-10" between plants. Cover the seeds with 1/4-1/2" of soil. Your rows of plants should be 12 to 15 inches across. Consider planting rows of chives or garlic between your lettuce rows to control aphids.
