Bursting with killer tunes, like Bloc Party's 'Positive Tension' and Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs 'Date with the Night' and dripping with heavy beats such as Roots Manuva 'Witness the Fitness' and Tricky's 'Hell Around the Corner', the 19-track album is a fusion of talent. Of course the "Skins" soundtrack would not be complete without the signature tune, Gossip's 'Standing in the Way of Control', with it's thumping drums and catchy hook. This track alone sums up Skins - teens living it up and having a good time. The closing track on the album 'Wild World' is also of note as it is sung by cast member Mike Bailey who plays lovelorn Sid, the guy who can't lose his virginity. The song is a cover of the classic Cat Stevens track, and re-entered the Top 40 earlier 2007 on the back of it being sung on the show.
