Classic silver elephant necklace the ears of this gorgeous elephant have been created from the handles of two spoons, and the trunk from a spoon handle with the idea of bringing elegance of the past into modern times. The process once a master is created from the antique spoon, we then cast the original piece in recycled brass using the lost wax method. This allows the antique silverware to be used in the creative process without damaging the history of the piece. After the casting process, the piece is then plated in silver, which is then hand polished with an antique finish. About Silver Spoon Jewelry after inheriting her great grandmother's silverware set, Jennifer developed a profound appreciation for antiques, she was inspired to find a way to incorporate beautiful old time designs into our modern everyday life. And thus, Silver Spoon Jewelry was born (with a little help from her designer/engineer husband, Daniel, of course) being avid lovers of all things vintage, Jennifer and Daniel set out to design a line of jewelry based on antique silverware patterns from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
