About Sasso Moka Pot Espresso Maker - Stovetop Coffee

SASSO QUALITY If you enjoy quality coffee you require hardware that will stand the test of time and deliver superior results at any moment. Just like the traditional stovetop Italian coffee maker, our Moka pot is made of food grade Aluminium with a solid cast body allowing fast and even heat distribution producing a rich strong espresso. EASY TO USE Fill lower chamber with water keeping well below safety valve. Place coffee basket into lower chamber and fill with ground coffee. Do not tamp coffee down, clean sides of any residue ground coffee before placing top chamber on firmly. No need to use excessive force as the vessel has a food grade silicon gasket. Comes with a spare silicone seal. Electric/Ceramic Stoves - Medium heat. Gas Stove - Use a flame that does not exceed the sides of vessel. Brewing should only take a few minutes, remove from heat once top chamber is full. CLEANING Once vessel has cooled, wash by hand with warm water and dry throughly leaving unassembled to fully dry. Do not use dishwashing liquid as this can react with the food grade Aluminium. Never clean in dishwasher and do not use abrasive products when cleaning the moka pot. A bottle brush is good to use for cleaning the inside of the top vessel. TIPS Do not use ground coffee that is too fine as it can clog the filter. Medium ground is best. Filtered water tastes best. Do not overfill, keep water well below safety valve. Overfilling causes water to escape between the two vessels and overspilling from top chamber. Make sure not to over heat as it can produce a burnt taste. Use medium heat and remove immediately once finished brewing. Stir coffee in top chamber before consuming. Do not leave excess coffee in the Stove top espresso makers as this can Oxidise the food grade Aluminium.
