Safety Technology International, Inc. - STI 34101 Wireless Sensor for use with STI 34100. Designed for use with the solar-powered STI wireless driveway monitor (STI model 34100 sold separately), this solar-powered add-on sensor extends the detection range of your monitor system. Multiple sensors are ideal for long or wide driveways that reach beyond a single sensors' 12-foot detection range. Simply add additional sensors when range is exceeded. Small, rugged, waterproof sensor easily mounts next to your driveway on the included stake. When the sensor detects a vehicle, it signals the receiver (STI model 34104 or 34108) sold separately) to alert you by chiming and flashing. The driveway sensor uses a patented magnetometer sensor system. Movement of any large metallic (iron or steel) object with a magnetic field causes the sensor to transmit to the receiver. Under ideal conditions, the sensor operates up to 1000 feet (line of sight) away from the receiver in your home. For best performance place the sensor within 500 feet of the receiver.
