Matte Cast Iron Maintenance Preheat the oven, close the lid and bake to about 260° so that the food remains carbonized. Wear insulated gloves and use a long-handled cleaning brush to brush off the carbonized debris on the grill. Use kitchen paper towels dipped in oil, use a clip to wipe the baking net, in order to oil the baking net, so as to maintain the baking net. Other parts of the oven: soak in warm soapy water, wipe the oven, and hang up the accumulated debris under the lid. Remove the grill and clean the drip pan under the stove.
