Designed as a transition boot from garrison to fully-engaged combat operations, the C5C gives you the ability to select the appropriate footwear for your mission-specific environment. At just 15.5 ounces, the C5C won't weigh you down on the job or in competition. The boot's aggressive EVA/rubber outsole allows you to grip the terrain; there's no slipping here. The sole also is designed with a multi-directional self-cleaning tread pattern so you won't have caked mud weighing you down. Helping service members focus on the mission at hand, this is a water-resistant and fast-drying military boot. You have work to do and can't be distracted by wet boots. The Rocky C5C keeps up. Something that may seem minor to civilians "" lacing "" is important when your day job is in the military. There's no time to waste and long-lasting laces are a must, so Rocky designed this military boot with speed lace eyelets and NATO hooks through which soldiers pull their 550 cord laces. Paracord is strong and lightweight parachute cord that will help you in survival situations due to its many uses and its strength. The nylon material dries quickly, and the 550 tells you these laces can hold up to 550 pounds. This C5C is a durable boot. It has a long-lasting leather vamp and a reinforced, stitched toe guard to hold up to potential scuffs and abrasions, as does the Cordura upper. Cordura is a durable, versatile fabric made from high-tenacity fiber technologies. The combination of full-grain leather and Cordura means this boot is made of quality materials. These also are comfortable military boots. The Rocky Air-PortTM Cushion Footbed is molded from durable PU that will never break down or lose its shape. The Air-Port Cushion Footbed circulates air with every step. The C5C is uniform compliant (AR 670-1).
