. A treasure of Americana, published in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1946, this First edition, first printing hardcover has 249 pages plus two pages of vintage book ads. The book is written by H.C. Thomas and based on the then very popular Fred Harman comic strip. It is likely that the 15 ink illustrations and the picture on the boards are based on the comic strip. This is a tale of cowboys and the Old West, complete with stereotypical characters and improbable events; it is to be treasured as an heirloom of post-WW 2 America.
