About "Cut-It-Yourself" Universal File Bars 4-Pack
The Universal File Bar Economy Pack enables wood lateral file cabinets to use hanging folders (i.e. green pendaflex style). They will work in any wood lateral or wood vertical filing cabinet regardless of brand name or age (great for custom models too). File bars are sold 40 inches long ready to be cut to your required length. Multiple bars can be connected together in any combination (when using the optional UFC547 hanging style clips) and allow you to design your own modular system for side-to-side, front-to-back, and letter or legal size filing. Installation instructions: NOTE: THESE FILE BARS MUST BE CUT-TO-LENGTH BEFORE INSTALLING. Metal is 1/16" thick and can not be cut with tin snips. Common methods for cutting are a hacksaw and vice, bandsaw or chopsaw. Measuring and cutting instructions are included. After cutting the file bar, secure the clip to the cabinet drawer wall using the two screws supplied. Now the file bar can be placed into the clips and you’re ready to begin filing. The bars are similar in design specifications to popular “A Grade” OEM models so you can be assured they will not bend or deflect under heavy usage.
