About PROGRESSIVE AUTOMATIONS Linear Electric Actuator

This high-speed linear actuator is the fastest unit in our line of products. The small outer-diameter shaft housing and actuator rod create an ideal unit for applications where space is limited. Industries such as automotive, robotics, and home automation benefit from the in-line motor design. To ensure proper function, the actuator must be operated with at least 50% of the full load rating. 5 Tips to extend PA-15 lifespan: -Install the actuator in a configuration so that the force being experienced by the shaft is at the correct angle and position that line up to the push and pull direction of the actuator’s travel path. -To ensure proper function, the actuator must be operated with at least 50% of the full load rating. -Shut off all electrical power to the motor once it is no longer being used to avoid any risk of motor burnouts due to the actuator not having the full range of motion for reaching limit switches. -Allow the PA-15 actuator to have sufficient off time to cool down so that the motor does not overheat by staying within the 25% duty cycle rating (5 minutes on, 15 minutes off). -Avoid water damage by using the PA-15 actuators within their ingress protection ratings of IP54. Actuators with IP54 can withstand some water splashes, however, they are not rated to operate in motion while exposed to water. To operate in motion while exposed to water, a rating of IP65M or higher is recommended.
