About PROGRESSIVE AUTOMATIONS 12V High Force

This is a high force industrial actuator with an IP66 rating capable of lifting extreme amounts of force. It is durable, reliable and primarily used for applications where large amounts of force are required. Due to the high force output it is very popular in marine, automotive, manufacturing, construction and industrial equipment. It is compatible with most of our control boxes as long as they have an amp rating of at least 20a. 5 Tips to extend PA-13 lifespan: -Install the actuator in a configuration so that the force being experienced by the shaft is at the correct angle and position that line up with the push and pull direction of the actuator’s travel path. -Ensure the force that is being experienced by the actuator's shaft is within the force rating of the unit you selected. - Allow the PA-13 actuator to have sufficient off time to cool down so that the motor does not overheat by staying within the 20% duty cycle rating (4 minutes on, 16 minutes off). -Install the actuator in a configuration that allows for the actuator to fully extend and fully retract completely so that it can reach the internal limit switches at the end of travel. -Avoid water damage by using the PA-13 actuators within their ingress protection ratings of IP66. Actuators with IP66 can be stored outdoors in the rain, however, they are not rated to operate in motion while it is raining. To operate in motion while exposed to water, a rating of IP66M or higher is required.
