About Premium Dual RV/Marine Water Softener Regeneration
This Pre-filter/Regeneration Kit is used as a pre-filter when filling your RV/Boat water tank and used as a regeneration kit when regenerating your water softener. Great for RVs, boats, campers, pets, gardening, washing cars and much more. This unit is design to reduce the amount of time it takes to regenerate your portable water softener and increase the efficiency of the regeneration cycle. With each full load of salt (about 4lbs) this unit will regenerate a 16,000 grain system in one backwash cycle (30 minutes). This unit will double the efficiency of your regeneration cycle by fully mixing the brine with your resin bed. The old method only regenerates 40% and requires the user to tip over the heavy unit to remove water, then add salt through a tiny hole followed by shaking the unit, leaving it for an hour and then backwashing the unit for an additional 20 minutes. DUAL PRE-FILTER: Stage 1) Filters sediment, dirt, rust and other debris that are 20 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair (5 microns). The first stage helps protect other filter systems as well as your appliances and faucet from clogging. Stage 2) Filters Chlorine, Taste, Odor and other contaminants that you would otherwise breath during a shower or digest when washing your fruits and vegetables. This filter helps protect and extend the life of other filtration system like Water Softeners from chlorine that would destroy the resin. REGENERATION KIT: Double the efficiency and properly regenerate your water softener by fully mixing brine (salt) through the entire unit not just the top 40%. Use the included brine hose and quick connect fittings to easily connect the unit to your water softener using standard garden hose ports. This unit works by filling the housing with about 4 lbs of salt (16,000 grain units) and backwashing. For systems over 16,000 grains, refill the housing and run an additional cycle with the amount of salt needed for your unit. Salt not included.
