The auger has a rugged, 5/8-inch shaft made from 100% steel, 18 inches of thick, durable, 10-gauge flighting, and the option to choose between a 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch non-slip hex drive. The 1/2-inch hex drive handles rougher ground with small rocks, sand, and harder clay soil than the 3/8-inch. For tougher jobs, add a heavy duty tip to your auger (made from military-grade abrasion resistant material) – it’s a great choice for contractors or anyone looking to get longer life and more use out of their auger. *Drill is not included
