This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a woman in purple and orange. Leon has always had a interest in art from a very young age, at 17 Leon attended art college in the U.K. studying graphic design from this experience his work veered off into illustration. After years of illustrating he decided to turn his hand to working with stencils & spray paints. His inspirations mainly come from colourful abstract and surreal artists, such as Picasso, Dali, Miro, Pollock, Gaudi and Kadinsky, but also pop artists like Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein and Jean Michel Basquiat. Other inspirations include Hip Hop culture, Americana and comic book art. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
