Studio 400 provides a complete environment for creating videos. By providing a fun and intuitive interface, Studio 400 successfully combines a number of breakthrough technologies for video creation. InstantView gives users instant feedback as they edit and never requires the user to wait while it renders a preview. SmartCapture technology allows Studio 400 to create full-resolution videotapes without using large amounts of disk space. Rather than capturing the source video at full resolution, it is scaled down to 160 x 120 and compressed using Intel's Indeo compression. SmartSound allows the user to select the scenes that need music, then choose from a variety of musical styles. SmartSound automatically generates a piece of music of the required duration.
