About the Author Phil Taylor (London) is David Gilmour's personal guitar technician and Pink Floyd's chief backline tech. First employed by the band in 1974 as their only full-time backline crew member, he was responsible for all of the band's equipment both on tour and in the studio. Phil has worked on every Pink Floyd and David Gilmour project for over three decades. He is David's production and studio manager as well as maintaining his instruments, equipment, and warehouse.
