The Pebblebee idea first emerged in late 2012 as a necessary solution to a curious toddler’s endless ability to hide things. After failed attempts at other homemade solutions, Nick collaborated with Daniel Daoura to find a way to take back control. That meeting resulted in a vision: to create the most versatile, affordable Bluetooth Tracker and Sensor. With generous support from over 3080 Kickstarter backers, we raised over $218K to make the Pebblebee the reality it is today. We wanted to create a shortcut for those times when using your phone is inconvenient or unsafe, like texting a spouse to let them know you’re driving home from work. What makes your product special? With its variety of pre-programmed action options as well as integration with IFTTT, the Stone offers endless shortcut possibilities. It goes even further to offer temperature, motion, and tracking features. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The process of taking an initial idea, collaborating with a team, and going through several iterations to then deliver a product that people love and use everyday is one of the most rewarding parts of a startup.
