Pearl Izumi's Select Thermal Jersey covers that gap, providing thermal insulation in a versatile range of temperatures spanning 40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit with an equally accommodating price. The jersey owes its flexibility to Pearl's Select Thermal Fleece fabric. When staying dry is crucial to staying warm, the insulating, wicking material hits both marks--though we do recommend at least a lightweight base layer to aid the brushed inner face's moisture-management abilities. Pearl combines this material in a fit that accommodates layering but doesn't turn into a flapping parachute in the wind, and an extended rear hem ensures that your back is completely covered, insulated, and protected from wheel spray. The contoured sleeves have also been shaped to allow full articulation and freedom of movement.
