About Patrolling & Battle Drill Terrain Model Kit
Patrolling and Battle Drill Terrain Model Kit is an Army Terrain Model Kit used to build a sand table or terrain model during mission planning. The kit comes with a full set of the most common squad and platoon symbols used on a terrain model or sand table. The symbols are printed on rigid plastic material both front and back and are waterproof. These symbols are the core of the kit and use nomenclature directly from Army doctrine as well as abbreviated terms to save time during planning. There are enough symbols to depict the movement and the actions on the objective. We include 8 wooden tees and 4 cords in 4 different colors (Red, Blue, Black, Yellow). The 4 different colors aid in the visual understanding of the plan and allow the leader to quickly identify key areas of the terrain model or sand table that they want the rest of the team members to remember during the operation. Blue and red plastic soldiers are used to identify friendly or enemy forces. All of these components come in a compact OD green military grade zipper bag that measures 4” by 7”. This terrain model is an excellent tool and can be used in both the field and classroom as well as ROTC, OCS, BOLC and any other Army school requiring a terrain model kit. This kit clearly helps the leader paint a visual picture of the mission during squad and platoon OPORD briefs.
