PAINTING ROSES ON PORCELAIN A rose garden walk with sketches and a watercolor. Basic principles of design and a beautiful rose opening from bud to full bloom. Gladys was most famous for her rose paintings. This is timeless watercolor and china painting lesson originally filmed for VHS in the 1980s by one of the greats, Gladys Galloway, a well-known Caro, Michigan artist, who specialized in porcelain art and watercolors. Gladys shares her painting techniques gleaned from her over 50 years of study, research, writing, teaching and painting. The video is filled with information, demonstrations, in full color, some settings out-of-doors, others in the Gladys Galloway Studio. Gladys Galloway served as president of the International Porcelain Art Teachers organization with teacher-artist members in some 52 countries and continued until her death as a Director Emeritus. She also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of International People to People and lead delegations of artists to mainland China, South America, Europe and Russia. She shared and taught her art on six continents. Mrs. Galloway’s publications include China Painting - Fun and Basics, Holidays and Special Moments, Sparkling Tables, as well as her popular collection of 55 botanical studies.
