Aptly named, the White Four O' Clock flowers will start to open up in the evening hours, around 4pm. Four O' Clocks are grown as a tender perennial flowering plant. These beauties will grow a deeply established root system, later wilting on the surface with the first frost. They return the following year from roots and will flower normally. Because they originate primarily in tropical climates, the plants may die completely if the winter temperatures are too harsh.
