Lobularia (Maritima Paletta) - Low, branching, trailing habit. Easy to grow, and dependable. Flowers from seed quickly. Lobularia has a tidy, compact growth habit making it ideal for a ground cover seed. It is tolerant of moist soils and grows best in full sun applications, but can tolerate some shade. Lobularia is an old-fashioned favorite. The dainty, spreading plants are covered with clusters of small, sweetly fragrant flowers. Bees love the lavender and white blossoms. Plant as a ground cover annual, as edging, between stepping stones, and in rock gardens, containers, and hanging baskets. Their uniform habit can get rangy over time, so remove old plants and sprinkle the empty spot with their seeds to start new shoots.
