Summer on the Farm 1 addresses the crop part of this dairy farm. Corn, hay, wheat and oats are some of the crops. Corn is chopped and combined so the viewer can see the difference in how and why corn is grown for this dairy farm. Hay is baled as well as chopped as feed for the cows as well. Crops are stored in silos and a harvestore. Summer on the farm 2 addresses the dairy aspect of our farm.. that a cow must have a calf in order to give milk. We talk about the different ingredients in the feed and where the cows sleep. It is amazing how much milk one cow gives and how much water they drink.The teacher in Chris really comes out in her narration of this video. Winter on the Farm is one of Chris' favorites. The gentle winter scenes and the deer in the snow with music that speaks to it is very moving. In the barn, the family is hard at work milking the cows and baby calves are born in the winter.
