Product Description The OmniFilter CB1 Undersink Carbon Block Water Filter reduces sediment and rust particles, as well as 97.5% of chlorine taste and odor and Cryptosporidium Giardia cysts. This 10 inch water filter features carbon block media and a service life of 1,000 gallons and fits the OmniFilter CBF1 water filter system and also replaces the Whirlpool WHCF-DB1 filter. This is the correct replacement filter for the following OmniFilter Systems: USM2 SFM2 Series B CBF1 Series C CBF3 Series B OT32 Series B, OT32 Series E RO2000 Series B RO2050 Specifications: Micron Rating - 0.5 Dimensions - 2 5/8 inches x 9 3/4 inches Flow Rate - 1.0 Gallons per minute NSF 53 certified for Cyst reduction Filter Life - 1,000 Gallons or 12 months NSF 42 certified for the reduction of Chlorine Taste and Odor and Nominal Particulate Reduction Class I Note: The diameter of the CB1 has been changed from 2.72" (Series A) to 2.87" (Series B). The larger diameter CB1 (Series B) may not fit some older Omnifilter housings. Omni recommends housings over 10 years old should be replaced for general safety and performance reasons. If your current housing is not compatible with the new CB1 (Series B), we recommend purchasing a OmniFilter CBF1 Series C Undersink Water Filter System. The current CB1 (Series B) is NOT compatible with the following housings: OB3 SFM2, SFM2 Series A CBF1 Series A, CBF1 Series B CBF3, CBF3 Series A CBF20 OT32 Series A OT2/U600 UC2/U500-OmniDeluxe & OT5/U700 SMF-5/U400 OmiSuper RO2000/RO2000TDS The alternative OmniFilter GAC1 Undersink Carbon Water Filter is a correct size filter compatible with the above listed models. NOTE: The GAC1 has a micron rating of 20 compared to the CB1 micron rating of .5. From the Manufacturer The new "CB" cartridges are more advanced and use carbon block technology.
